Contemporary Patio Door with more glass area for a contemporary look. The sliding panel is on the outside so when the wind blows against it, it creates a tighter seal.

French Patio door with a traditional wide-frame French door appearance, but door slides like a traditional patio door. The sliding panel is also on the outside so when the wind blows against it, it creates a tighter seal.

French Hinged Patio Door. A classic look. Often used as an entryway from a patio or deck. Out-swing hinged doors are a good option if interior wall space is limited. Wind presses the operable panel(s) tightly against the jamb so that the harder the wind blows, the tighter the seal.
